ASSISTED LIVING CLEANOUT PLANNING TIPS

Moving into or out of assisted living can involve facility deadlines, important personal belongings, and decisions involving several family members. A clear plan helps protect what matters and prevents confusion during removal.

Identify What Will Be Kept or Moved

Confirm which furniture, clothing, medical equipment, documents, photographs, and daily-use belongings will move with the resident or remain with the family.

Separate Important Personal Property

Remove medication, financial records, identification, jewelry, keys, photographs, keepsakes, and other important belongings before the cleanout begins.

Confirm Facility Requirements

Ask the facility about parking, elevators, loading areas, access hours, insurance requirements, and move-out deadlines before scheduling removal.

Trotter Site Services provides assisted-living and senior-living cleanouts across Madison County, Fayette County, Hardeman County, and selected East Shelby County communities.
